You've got questions, we've got answers...
1. How do I know if I'm registered?
Check the Events Online confirmation page.
2. May I walk the events?
Yes. Walkers can only walk. Runners can run and walk. For all walker participants in the 10k and 21k, you must register as a walker and leave at 8:00 AM. As a walker, watch for runners coming up behind you. Please do not walk abreast and keep to the far right of the road. This will ensure that both walkers and runners can obtain their desired finish times.
3. May I pick up someone else's race package and where do I go for package pick up?
Yes. Ernie’s Sports Experts – Friday, May 28th from 12-7. Race day package pick up will be available for OUT OF TOWN athletes only. If you live in/near Grande Prairie and can not make it on Friday to package pick up, please send a friend. Race day is hairy enough without worrying about getting your number.
4. Can I change my shirt size?
Shirts are ordered as of May 11th but possibly if we have extra (see below).
5. I didn’t register in time to get a shirt and I want one. How can I get one?
We will have some extra shirts for sale at package pick up. Get your butt down to Ernie’s early to get the size you want. $25 gets you a cool black technical race shirt.
6. I’m injured. Can I get my money back?
No, sorry. However, your registration will be put to good use. It will be donated to our 2010 Charity, Young Persons & Families Cancer Society.
7. Can I change events -21k to 10k and vice versa?
If you absolutely have to and have a king-size excuse and bring Esquires coffee to bribe the race director….maybe…… So,the answer? Definitely NOT on race day; possibly prior to race day. If we switch you from 21k to 10k, there will be no refund in registration difference. (BTW, Sonya drinks decaf and Ross drinks bold roast!)
8. Can I register on race day?
Absolutely, no race day registration. Registration closes at 12 pm on Thursday, May 27th. If you haven’t decided before noon one day prior to race day, chances are you have a commitment phobia and perhaps you should work on that instead of training.
